I grew up surrounded by an incredible community. Our home was always full of visitors and the neighbourhood children would roam the streets making up games and building forts until the street lights came on and it was time to go home. Going to the supermarket meant stopping to chat more times than I could count. Our neighbors were like an informal tool library for lawn mowers, wheel barrows and furniture moving trolleys. If someone had a garage sale, we all had a garage sale. If someone had a birthday, we all had cake. If someone was sick, or hurt, or grieving, meals were cooked and children were cared for without question. This was my introduction to the power of community. It was inevitable that I'd end up working with people to build capacity and connection.

"If only you could sense how important you are to the lives of those you meet; how important you can be to people you may never even dream of. There is something of yourself that you leave at every meeting with another person." — Fred Rogers
I have had the pleasure of knowing Jo for the past two years. Having recently worked with Jo and three other peers on a major project I can endorse Jo's skills for keeping all team members to stay on task and provide valuable peer support. Jo brought five big personalities together for this project and helped to highlight our different skills instilling confidence in us all. Wonderful lead and team player.

It's cool how you tell those guys from Maths Methods what you think. Like that time you said "Gosh that's stupid". It rocked!
